Teaming Agreements and Joint Ventures

We assist our clients with the establishment and maintenance of teaming
arrangements and joint ventures, which enable them to compete for government
contracts that would otherwise be too large in size or scope for them to handle.  
Teaming arrangements typically involve a prime contractor / sub-contractor
agreement, in which one company takes the lead role with the Government and
one or more additional companies are identified as sub-contractor team
members that will provide specified goods or services in support of the prime
contractor.  

The use of teaming arrangements has increased significantly in recent years,
especially on contracts for sophisticated, high-tech items where no single
company has all the technical resources to do the work involved, and the
Government actively encourages such arrangements for certain programs and
projects.  We also assist our clients with joint ventures, a less popular although
legitimate alternative to teaming arrangements, which are short-term partnerships
for undertaking a specific project where two businesses contribute assets and
